We love all things jalapeño in this house and these jalapeño popper present muffins are no exception! Funny story…the first time I was making them my kids kept coming in the kitchen to bug me. They asked me what I was making and I jokingly said “Nunyas” as in None ya business, so now my kids call them nunyas hahaha.
These are so simple to make and are a great after school snack or appetizer. Make them for your next party and I promise no one will be disappointed and there won’t be any leftovers! Ok…second thought maybe just hoard them all for yourself.
1 package bacon bits (you can fry the bacon up yourself and it tastes so much better but this is the quick version)
1 package cream cheese
diced jalapeños (I dont measure these out I just literally scoop some out with a spoon until I think its enough)
1 package crescent rolls
3/4 cup cheddar cheese
1/2 cup mozzarella
2 Tbsp sour cream (I’ve made these without the sour cream and they are still good)
Preheat oven to 375
Mix all ingredients except cresent rolls in a bowl until well combined.
Open crescent rolls and spread out on counter. Pinch seams together and cut evenly into 12 squares (if you want to make them bigger just be sure to turn the heat down and cook them a little longer)
Place crescent rolls into a greased muffin tin and press gently into the cups.
Divide filling evenly into each cup.
Bake 12-15 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Allow to cool before removing from pan.
