I’m obsessed with keeping my skin young and aging as slow as possible. I joke that I will probably be the youngest person to ever get a facelift but I’m secretly hoping everything I do to take care of my skin keeps that from happening!
Jade rolling is nothing new. It is believed to have been used by ancient wealthy Chinese women. Jade is a healing semi-precious gemstone and symbolizes power and immortality. While this will not make you immortal there is a good reason it works for aging!
Using a jade roller increases circulation, de-puffs eyes, and improves elasticity. And it also promotes lymphatic drainage which helps detoxify. Because it helps with undereyes the results are almost immediate and the more you use it, the more you will see your complexion begin to glow.
So how do you use this thing?
Keep your jade roller in the fridge so it stays cold. You can find a variety out there but THIS is the one I have and I love it. You don’t have to keep it cold but I think it feels even better on my undereye.
Put your favorite eye cream under your eyes. I love Young Living’s Wolfberry eye cream because it reduces the appearance of puffiness and dark circles and also helps tighten. You can read more about why I chose Young Living HERE. Using your jade roller with eye cream will help the cream penetrate even better.
Begin rolling the same you would with your fingers starting at the inner corner and going out towards your ears. Repeat on other side.
I like to then apply a serum all over my face and roll my face and neck. Starting at my forehead I use outward and upward strokes going over each area 2-3 times. Continue on entire face and neck always using upward strokes.
That’s it! You can roll every day if you like but I usually do it 2-3 times a day. Remember to drink tons of water! Its always important to hydrate but you really want to help flush all those toxins out when doing lymphatic drainage.
